I thrive on building community
“With neighbors, community members, nonprofits, business stakeholders, and city and county officials.”
As a proud and devoted Fremont resident for over 45 years, I have:
Traveled a professional journey spanning multiple fulfilling careers, including:
15+ years with the Fremont Unified School District (FUSD).
Currently as Fremont Field Director for Alameda County Supervisor, District 1, David Haubert.
Participated in a range of nonprofit roles from volunteer to leadership, including board presidents and co-founder.
Held several community positions, including with the Fremont Chamber of Commerce and on city-wide commissions.
I have partnered to address blight in Centerville, promote affordable housing actions, coordinate refugee resettlement efforts and COVID economic recovery.
Together with my husband of 42 years, I have raised two children from boys to thriving adults. Following my children’s journey through the Fremont Unified School District I saw the need at school sites and volunteered as a PTA leader, resulting in earning their highest honor, PTA Golden Oak Award.
I Care Deeply about the Bigger Picture.
“Fremont City Council District 3 deserves an accessible and transparent leader who guides the community in smart growth, public safety, and social and economic development.”
My long-standing commitment to community service includes roles as:
Fremont City Council Member for District 3
President, Fremont Education Foundation
President, Fremont Rotary Club of Fremont
President, Centerville Business & Community Association
Member, Fremont Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee
Member, Citizens for Better Community
Member, Fremont Family Resource Center - Community Advisory & Engagement Board
COVID Recovery Task forces
Fremont Chamber of Commerce and Fremont Economic Development
Fremont Unified School District
Afghan Resettlement Agency/Co-sponsor, Afghan family
Board member, Stage 1 Community Theater
Commissioner of the City of Fremont Senior Citizens Commission
In my current position as the Fremont Field Director for Alameda County Supervisor, District 1, David Haubert, I help manage a budget of over 3 million dollars that brings resources to Fremont’s small businesses and nonprofits, services for seniors to age well, and support for the homeless with food, shelter and wrap-around services.
I Consider Myself a “Doer.”
“I show up. I roll up my sleeves and I get things done.”
I collaborate and negotiate from Fremont City Offices to Alameda County, to the smallest and largest businesses and nonprofits all of which serve Fremont. This is what gets me up, ready to go, every morning.
I’ve been honored to receive recognition for my contributions, including:
Golden Oak Award, Oliveira PTA
Continuing Service Award, Fremont Council PTA
Community Hero Award, Assemblymember Kansen Chu
Distinguished Community Service Award, Citizens for Better Community
And yet, I have more to give.
I am running for City Council District 3 because I want Fremont to thrive.
“I promise to represent a community for everyone.”
Be it issues in growth, inclusion, traffic, homelessness, small businesses, or non-profits, together we will help Fremont grow vibrantly.
Because of my hand-in-hand work with many community organizations, in 2022 I received the endorsements of many respected community leaders, including:
Eric Swalwell, US Representative, California 15th Congressional District
Nate Miley, Alameda County Supervisor District 4 & President of United Seniors of Oakland and Alameda County

When elected, I will fulfill my promise to them and to you, to continue working to make Fremont a city we can all be proud to call home.
I’d be honored to partner with you, receive your feedback, earn your trust, and win your vote.
