As a proud and devoted Fremont resident for over 45 years, I have:

  • Traveled a professional journey spanning multiple fulfilling careers, including:

    • 15+ years with the Fremont Unified School District (FUSD).

    • Currently as Fremont Field Director for Alameda County Supervisor, District 1, David Haubert.

  • Together with my husband of 42 years, raised two sons from young boys into thriving adults. As I followed my children’s educational journey through Fremont Unified School District, I saw firsthand the needs of local schools and stepped forward to serve as a PTA leader. I believed in leading by example, showing my children that being engaged and giving back to their community matters. My dedication to students, families, and schools was recognized with the PTA’s highest honor, the Golden Oak Award.

  • Participated in a range of nonprofit roles from volunteer to leadership, including board presidents and co-founder.

  • Partnered with small businesses and City staff to address blight in Centerville, promoted affordable housing actions, coordinated refugee resettlement efforts, and championed COVID economic recovery. 

  • Held several community positions, including with the Fremont Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee, and served on city-wide commissions.

In my current position as the Fremont Field Director for Alameda County Supervisor, District 1, David Haubert, I help manage a budget of over 3 million dollars that brings resources to Fremont’s small businesses and nonprofits, services for seniors to age well, and support for the homeless with food, shelter and wrap-around services.

I Consider Myself a “Doer.”

“I show up. I roll up my sleeves and I get things done.” 

I collaborate and negotiate from Fremont City Offices to Alameda County, to the smallest and largest businesses and nonprofits all of which serve Fremont. This is what gets me up, ready to go, every morning.

I’ve been honored to receive recognition for my contributions, including:

  • Golden Oak Award, Oliveira PTA

  • Continuing Service Award, Fremont Council PTA

  • Community Hero Award,  Assemblymember Kansen Chu

  • Distinguished Community Service Award, Citizens for Better Community

And yet, I have more to give.

I am running for City Council District 3 because I want Fremont to thrive.
